Car rentals can be one of the most inconsistently priced aspects of travel.  You can easily pay much more than you need to if you don't shop around properly.  For example, did you know that I have rented cars several times from well known car rental companies in both Las Vegas and Orlando, for less than ten bucks a day?  Not only that, but depending upon what's going on in a particular city, you can up to a hundred dollars more per DAY on a car rental from the same car rental company (such as Fort Lauderdale during cruise ship season).  Check out my article on this topic:
