The holiday season is almost over (and from my perspective, I am looking foward to fewer crowds at the airports)!  You may not have any immediate travel plans, but the next time you fly, you will probably be paying a fee for any bags that you check.  If you take that same bag onboard with you, however, there is no fee.  But there is a limit to what is allowed in the cabin, based upon size and weight of the baggage.  Make sure you are aware of the rules before you pack, so you don't find yourself paying fees that you could have avoided.  Check out my article on the topic; I also have included a few other pointers regarding airline baggage.
